About Chakras and Reiki

Our body’s energy system consists of 7 chakras. The Sanskrit word Chakras- translates to wheel or disk of energy. Theses swirling energy centers store the energy of our thoughts, feelings, memories, experiences, and actions. It is essential for the chakras to stay open and aligned. If they become blocked- the energy flow is then restricted and can result in dis-ease in the body.

The lower chakras are connected to the earthbound matters like survival, power and sex. The upper chakras, the top 3, are connected to intuition, truth, purpose and higher consciousness. The heart chakra is in the middle to connect the lower and upper chakras using love, compassion and empathy.

Reiki is the process of guiding this energy to release any blockages and to restore the flow, healing and the balance of energy. This will allow harmony in the body spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally and energetically. The practitioner is not the source of the healing, but a channel for the client’s own energy.

Reiki is not a religion. This is an ancient, complimentary, holistic health approach, but does not replace medical care.

Meet Sandy

My name is Sandy. I am so glad you are here. I would like to share a bit of my journey with you. Before we start let me ask you……

Do you know what the word DHARMA means?

~Dharma- The implication of dharma is that there is a right or true way for a person to carry out their life in order to serve both themselves and others. Traditionally, it was said that it is your mission, your purpose, your reason for being here. Your dharma is predetermined, and if you are following it- you are pursuing your truest life calling and serving others. ~

Back to my journey…
So, for as long as I can remember I have always wanted to work with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I have had various careers, and for the last 21 years I have worked in education. 15 of those years as an educational sign language interpreter. I have used my hands to facilitate communication for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. In the recent years of my “Enlightenment” journey I have been called to the practice of Reiki as my “Divine Alignment.” I am humbled and honored to live out my Dharma- to serve others as a Reiki practitioner.
